PARKER PROMOTED TO PUBLISHER AT CED
Rhonda Rhodes Named Associate Publisher

Denver, CO – May 21, 2008 – Advantage Business Media has promoted William Parker to publisher of CED magazine, where he had been associate publisher. Rhonda Rhodes has been appointed to fill the associate publisher position. She had been the magazine’s western account manager.

“Bill has been a mainstay at CED for years, and since Rhonda joined the company in 2006, the two of them have been a great sales team,” said Advantage CEO Richard Reiff, who had been serving as CED’s interim publisher. “Their promotions will assure continuity for CED, and that the magazine will continue to have a strong presence in the communications market. I wish them both ongoing success in their new roles.”

Parker brings more than two dozen years of trade advertising sales experience to CED. Since joining the company in July 1999 as a sales manager, Bill has demonstrated a strong ability to build relationships, generate new revenue along with quickly becoming an industry expert.

Parker has quickly embraCED the challenge of growing CED’s e-business, which has resulted in CED taking the lead in that area within the Advantage organization. In his new position, he will assume overall responsibility for CED sales and marketing efforts, as well as the development and management of online initiatives.

Prior to coming to Advantage, Bill was National Sales Manager for High Performance Composites and Composites Technology magazines and was Associate Publisher for International Cable magazine.

Rhodes has more than 17 years of sales and consultative experience, including several years in the fields of IT/software and telephony. She has quickly made an impact on the publication by cultivating new relationships with clients, creating new online opportunities and mentoring the sales team. Prior to joining Advantage, Rhonda was an independent sales consultant for software and technology companies in the Denver, Dallas and Seattle markets.

Both Bill and Rhonda are based out of CED’s Denver office and will continue to manage accounts they held in their previous positions.

Advantage also announCED the addition of Jamie Reed and Dave Jeans to the CED sales team. Reed was recently named the magazine’s classified sales manager.
