Rockaway, NJ – November 28, 2007 – Advantage Business Media, a leading information provider to the science, engineering/design, electronics, and communications markets, announced that CEO Richard Reiff was named to BtoB’s Media Business 2007 “Who’s Who in Business Publishing.”

The annual list names the top 100 major players in b-to-b publishing, including Harold “Terry” McGraw, chairman-president-CEO of McGraw Hill Cos.; L. Gordon Crovitz, president of Dow Jones Electronic Publishing; and Rupert Murdoch, chairman of News Corp.

“It’s an honor to be named to the ‘Who’s Who in Business Publishing’ list, and a distinction that I completely share with my business partner and co-founder George Fox, who has been the heart, soul and backbone of this exciting adventure,” said Reiff. “Advantage Business Media has prospered in this inaugural year because of our innovative business models and advertiser offerings. Our highly targeted media properties – in print, online and in-person – outstanding editorial, and exceptional customer service have made us a success, and will continue to drive the company’s revenues in the future.”

Reiff was cited for his private-equity backed acquisition of Reed Business’ New Product Division in 2006, and the subsequent creation of Advantage Business Media.

Reiff along with Fox, who is the Company’s president, immediately set about on a course to maintain readership and the advertising base, while simultaneously retooling all of its online content and eliminating titles and services that were not deemed profitable for future growth.

They hired a team of technology insiders and initiated usage studies to define demographics, hone their offerings, and broaden their reach through more comprehensive integrated marketing programs.

First-year highlights include:

•  Launch of Emerging Technologies in Forensic Science Chromatography Techniques and The Science Network, a one-stop information resource for White Papers, Webcasts, E-Tutorials, new product videos and other online information-based reference materials,
•  Addition of highly acclaimed industry-specific talent in the business development, IT and editorial departments,
•  Introduction of new e-newsletters, white paper programs and editorial blogs,
•  Website redesigns for many of its publications including CED, ECN, Wireless Week, and Manufacturing.net

Advantage Business Media publishes several publications that continue to be #1 in their sectors including Laboratory Equipment, ECN, Wireless Week, and CED. As it moves into its second year, the company is committed to smart and steady growth and the launch of several new industry-specific publications and online resources. With a concentration on emerging technology, Reiff maintains that print publications continue to play a significant role in b2b. He cites a recent study conducted by Forrester Research for American Business Media concluding that senior executives rely on industry-specific publications as a primary source of industry information.
