Keynotes to Feature Speakers from Grainger and Microsoft
To assist distributors and manufacturers with their profitability challenges, the keynote sessions at the upcoming Distribution & Manufacturing Profitability Forum will feature leaders from two of the most dynamic organizations in the marketplace.
On Tuesday, June 10, Deb Oler, Vice President and General Manager of the Grainger Brand will deliver a presentation entitled, “Managing MRO to the Bottom Line.” Drawing from her experience with North America’s leading broad-line supplier of maintenance, repair, and operating products, Oler will discuss the opportunities distributors and manufacturers can take advantage of in reducing costs without sacrificing operational efficiency or individual safety. Some of the topics she’ll cover will include ecommerce, inventory management, safety, and risk management.
Following on Wednesday, June 11, Mark Beckmann, Sr. Manufacturing Industry Market Manager with Microsoft, will present “A Mandate for Change: Digital Technologies, Hyper-connectivity & the Future of the Industrial Sector.” This keynote will analyze how manufacturers and distributors must move faster and make decisions more rapidly in a hyper-connected environment filled with more data but potentially less insight. Beckmann will share his thoughts on forces shaping the future of manufacturing, and provide examples of how to leverage the profitability potential of social media, mobile data, analytics, cloud computing, and more.
The Distribution & Manufacturing Profitability Forum will take place June 9-11, 2014 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.
