R&D Magazine honored the 100 most technologically significant innovations of 2012 on November 7, 2013 at the 51st annual R&D 100 Award event in Orlando, Fla.
With a 50+-year history of recognizing excellence in innovation, the R&D 100 Awards have earned the name: the “Oscars of Invention.” The awards not only recognize the efforts of the development team and partners, they provide a mark of excellence known to industry, government, and consumers. An R&D 100 Awards tells potential customers that the product has successfully competed against other new technologies in open competition.
This year’s Editor’s Choice Award, the highest honor bestowed upon the 100 innovative technologies, was awarded tp Abbott’s Absorb Bioresorbable Vascular Scaffold, Bausch+Lomb’s Biotrue ONEday lenses, and Los Alamos National Laboratory’s MiniMAX.
